it's about time

Carton123, Babini Geysen and 51N4E in conversation with Véronique Patteeuw and Joachim Declerck at the launch of It’s About Time at CIVA.

Published in late 2024, the book by Véronique Patteeuw and Léa-Catherine Szacka brings together 45 key architectural moments in the history of environmental awareness, connecting past, present, and future. Its message is urgent: the time for systemic change has arrived, and architecture has a crucial role to play.

The conversation explored concrete design strategies for a changing architectural practice. How can architects help mitigate the effects of climate change? Should we embrace more circular or carbon-free building methods? And what responsibilities do policymakers and public clients carry in this transition?
